In this release, we’ve also put a special focus on enhancing the free version of Paymattic. We’ve added a dedicated report page and enabled offline payment for free users, giving everyone even more flexibility and control!

So, without keeping you waiting any longer, let’s dive into everything Paymattic 4.6.0 has to offer!

Changelog Paymattic 4.6.0

Improvements

First, let’s talk about the improvement we’ve made just for you. Here’s a look at the key enhancements in this release:

Complete UI/UX restructuring of the plugin

We broke the plugin and restructured it just to make your user experience smoother, faster, and intuitive. From a cleaner dashboard to easy navigation, everything we have done just keeping you in mind. The idea of restructuring is not something made aesthetic, it’s designed to make your payment journey easier than ever.

Our previous interface was already smooth, but now it’s like polishing with butter! Jokes aside, the new design takes your experience to the next level. Don’t just take our word for it, go check out the revamped interface for yourself, and share your thoughts with us!

Updated the donation recurring interval button

Paymattic allows users to collect recurring donations with ease. In the previous build, the interval button for recurring donations was displayed only in a dropdown format.

With this update, we’ve added a button option as well!

Now, users have full control over how they want to display the recurring interval button on their forms – both dropdown and button styles are available. You can choose whichever suits your form best!

Enhanced Webhooks to send selected data

Paymattic integrates with Webhooks and 13 other platforms. Webhooks allow automatic data transfers between websites. Previously, Webhooks could only send all data from a single form.

With this update, we’ve enhanced Webhooks to give users more control. Now, if you want to send only specific data from a form, you can easily do that by selecting the option either “All fields” or just “Selected fields.” You’ll find this new option on the form’s Webhook integration page, making it easier to customize your data transfers.

Features

We also bring new features! Let’s see what’s waiting for you.

Horizontal payment items

Paymattic now lets you showcase your products more efficiently in the payment form. Previously, products were displayed using payment item fields in a list format, which could look lengthy if multiple products were added.

In this version, we’ve introduced horizontal payment items, allowing products to be displayed side by side instead of in a list. This reduces the form’s length and gives it a cleaner, more appealing look. You can also take advantage of Paymattic templates, with options like the Inline Card Template and Grid Card Template, to further enhance your form’s design.

Form-specific leaderboard

Form specific leaderboard

Leaderboards are a great way to motivate donors and inspire some friendly competition for your cause. Paymattic already offers a Donation Leaderboard feature, but previously, it displayed donations for all forms under a campaign.

With this update, we’re excited to introduce form-specific leaderboards! Now, you can choose to display a leaderboard for a specific form, giving you more control and flexibility. Use this new feature to drive even more engagement and competition by showcasing your leaderboard right on your website!

Set an initial raised amount for leaderboards

Initial amount

Another exciting addition to the leaderboard is the Initial-Raised Amount feature. This allows organizers to display any amount they’ve already raised directly on the leaderboard. If you’ve raised some funds before launching the leaderboard, you can now include that in the total. If you check the leaderboard settings image above, you’ll see the option to set the initial raised amount, allowing you to display the progress right away!

Multi-column layouts

Multi-column layouts

Multi-column layouts are ideal for shortening longer forms while still collecting all the necessary information. If you need to gather lots of data but want to avoid overwhelming your users, this layout is the perfect solution. Users appreciate forms that are easy to navigate and focus on relevant details.

The best part is that Paymattic includes multi-column fields in its free version, allowing you to create sleek, conversion-friendly forms without worrying about form abandonment.

Enabled free offline payments

As a payment plugin, we always prioritize making your payment journey as smooth as possible. And it’s not just about the pro version, we also focus on enhancing the free version for our users. In this release, we’ve made offline payments available in the free version, so free users can now complete their transactions using methods like cash, direct bank transfer, or cheque.

If you prefer online payments instead, No problem! Paymattic’s free version also offers the Stripe payment gateway, which supports 135+ currencies. If you’re a small business owner, you can easily manage payments and run your business smoothly with Paymattic’s free version.

Report for free user

A reporting dashboard is an essential feature for any payment plugin, helping you track and manage your payment details effortlessly. Paymattic already provides an advanced reporting dashboard, free users can also access it now! From tracking total revenue and submissions to viewing top customers and detailed transaction data, you’ll have everything you need to monitor your form submissions in one place.

In Paymattic, we’re giving you access to features that other plugins typically reserve for paid versions. You won’t find this level of functionality in any other free payment plugin!

Fixes

We’ve already explored the new features and improvements. Now, let’s have a look at the fixes we’ve implemented to ensure a flawless user experience.

Enabled “+” sign in the email field

We noticed an issue with the email field, where emails containing a (+) sign were failing validation. We’ve fixed this, and now emails with the (+) sign are validated correctly, ensuring everything works smoothly.

Resolved Google Sheets integration issue

We’ve resolved an issue with the Google Sheets integration. Previously, form data was added to Google Sheets immediately after form submission. Now, data will be stored also after a successful payment, ensuring both the form submission and payment are added to the Google sheet together.

Fixed alignment issue with the custom HTML component

In this release, we’ve resolved an alignment issue with the custom HTML component. Previously, images added to the HTML component were only aligned to the left. Now, you can position images anywhere you like within the component.

Addressed email notification issue for Stripe Embedded payment success

Previously, when customers made payments via the Stripe payment gateway, email notifications were only sent for Stripe-hosted payments, and there was an issue with notifications for successful Stripe-embedded payments. In this release, we’ve resolved the issue. Now, email notifications will be sent for payments made through both Stripe-hosted and Stripe-embedded payments.
